Softer Configurations
More Comfort Above the Core
For the softer configurations, the 4-inch high-density support core stays at the bottom of the mattress, leaving more of the interchangeable comfort materials above it. This allows the latex, memory foam and high resilience foam to provide more cushioning and contouring before you reach the firmer support below. Best suited to side sleepers and those who prefer greater pressure relief and a more conforming feel.

Comfort & Support in Balance
Moving the 4-inch high-density core up one position brings firmer resistance closer to the body while still leaving a comfort layer above it. This creates a more balanced feel with less sink and more immediate support than the softer configurations. Different materials can be used above and below the core to further fine-tune the response, making this range particularly versatile for back, side and combination sleepers.

Bring the Support Closer
For the firmest configurations, the 4-inch high-density core moves near the top of the mattress, bringing its firmer resistance much closer to the sleep surface. With less cushioning between you and the core, the mattress feels flatter, firmer and less conforming while the layers below continue to provide underlying support. Best suited to back and stomach sleepers, heavier sleepers and those who prefer minimal sink.

Do I need to choose a firmness when I order?
No. The Presto Foam Hybrid comes in our standard starting configuration. Sleep on it first, then rearrange the internal layers if you'd like to make it softer or firmer.
How can one mattress have 16 comfort options?
The mattress contains layers of Organic Dunlop latex, memory foam, HR foam and HD foam with distinctly different firmness and response characteristics. Changing their order creates 16 recommended configurations ranging from softer to firmer.
Do I need to buy anything to adjust the mattress?
No. The mattress includes the layers needed to make the recommended comfort adjustments, including an additional 2" HD foam adjustment layer.
Is the Presto Foam Hybrid a latex mattress?
It is a foam hybrid that combines Organic Dunlop latex with memory foam, High Resilience foam and High Density foam. If you want a mattress made entirely from latex, one of our 100% latex Presto models would be the better choice.
Will rearranging the layers really change the feel?
Yes. The material closest to your body has a significant influence on how the mattress feels. Changing the order can alter firmness, contouring, pressure relief and responsiveness without changing the mattress itself.
What cover comes with the Presto Foam Hybrid?
The Presto Foam Hybrid comes exclusively with our Tencel cover. Its top-zippered construction provides easy access to the internal layers for comfort adjustments.
How long should I try a configuration before changing it?
Give your body some time to adjust before making changes. If the mattress consistently feels too soft or too firm after you've settled into it, you can then try another recommended configuration.
What type of bed frame do I need?
The bed frame or foundation is an important part of a latex sleep system. Latex is flexible and heavy, so it needs a strong, evenly supported surface underneath it.
For MFC Latex Canada mattresses, the space between bed slats must be no more than 3 inches. Slat width must also be within 1/2 inch of the spacing between the slats. For example, if your slats are spaced 3 inches apart, they should be at least 2.5 inches wide.
The frame should be strong, stable and properly supported through the centre, particularly for Queen, King and other larger mattress sizes.
If your existing bed frame doesn't meet these requirements, you don't necessarily need to replace it. A coir mattress pad or coir bunkie board can be placed over the existing support system to bring nearly any suitable bed frame up to our warranty standard.
Unlike a traditional box spring, latex mattresses don't require a flexible foundation. A strong platform, properly spaced slats or a suitable frame combined with coir provides the firm, even support latex needs.

My old bed gave out right as lockdown started. I spent days researching what bed to buy. I've never been happier. The customer service was great, any questions I had was answered and they still delivered it even thought it was lockdown. I thought I'd give as much time as possible to properly review this mattress. To start, the comfort is entirely up to you! You can make it more firm or soft. So, you have no worries there. I sleep hot, and I found keeping the latex at the top was best for keeping me cool. I followed instructions with flipping over layers occasionally and had no issues with sagging. I sleep with my partner, and even with alot of weight on the bed there's no problem. I have nothing but praise for this mattress. I recommend it to everyone.
We've had our king mattress for over a year now and it is just as good as when we got it! We did find that it is quite a firm mattress even on the softest setting. My husband and I both like a firm mattress so it's great for us but you may not like this particular model if soft mattresses are your thing. Customer service was excellent - we had some questions before our purchase and they were always super quick to get back to us and super helpful. Recommend!

We ordered a new mattress, bed with drawers and night table. The mattress is very comfortable, and we particularly like that the softness of the mattress can be changed based on the order of the various layers of the mattress. The furniture looks great, is truly made of solid wood and will last us for our lifetimes. We are so glad we ordered the cost effective products from MFC, We could not have purchased these solid wood products for this price from a furniture store. If pushed for a way to improve our experience, the only improvement we could suggest would be better illustrations for the furniture assembly. Thank you so much for these great products!
My husband is much taller and heavier than me, we got the Presto King bed, it is very supportive and comfortable, I can not feel any tossing or turning from my husband. We have done our fair share of mattress research, this is the best!
