“We purchased our Presto mattress over 2 years ago and still feel it is the best mattress we have ever had! Always comfortable sleep, it's great to be able to change the firmness at will and it has not broken down like our previous mattresses.”

Jennifer

“We love that it is organic and we were able to customize it for each of our comfort levels... we've never had a latex mattress before and had lots of questions... I can truly say we definitely made the right choice!”

Dan

“Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and did everything to make the selection process easy and stress-free. It's really comfortable, and I like knowing I'm sleeping on organic latex.”

Emily

“The fact that the mattress is all separate layers also means that in the future if we ever feel something is off, we can simply flip the layers to make it feel firmer, replace any layer as needed... That is a nice extra peace of mind.”

More Latex. A Better Hybrid.

Many latex hybrids use only a thin layer of latex. Ours feature a full 4" of latex over supportive pocket coils, giving you more of the comfort, pressure relief and responsive support of latex in a more familiar mattress profile.

New to Latex Mattresses?

Latex can vary significantly in how it’s made, what it’s made from and how it’s used in a mattress. Start with these three guides to understand the differences.

Dunlop vs. Talalay Latex

Dunlop vs. Talalay Latex

Dunlop and Talalay latex can feel surprisingly different. Compare their support, pressure relief, bounce and natural content to understand which type of latex is the better fit for your mattress.

100% Latex vs. Hybrid

100% Latex vs. Hybrid

Not all hybrid mattresses are created equal. See how 100% latex compares with latex hybrids, and why the type of support core, amount of latex and overall construction can make such a big difference.

Natural vs. Synthetic Latex

Natural vs. Synthetic Latex

How latex is made matters, but what it’s made from matters just as much. See how natural and synthetic latex affect feel and support, and why material content matters as much as the process.

Three Types of Latex. One Better Fit.

Choose from Organic Dunlop, Classic Talalay and Natural Talalay, each with its own distinct feel. With multiple firmnesses and thicknesses, it’s easier to find the right combination of comfort, pressure relief and support for your mattress.

Where it Started

Marie Lapointe’s search for a healthier mattress for her children led her to cotton futons. In 1985, she began making mattresses in a small Surrey location, with production in the back and sales out front. What started as a solution for her own family became the beginning of a family-owned Canadian mattress company.

Growing Local

Futons took off, and so did we. Manufacturing expanded, stores opened throughout Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and Victoria, and our mattresses were sold through retailers across North America. Through all that growth, we remained mattress manufacturers at heart, making our products locally in British Columbia.

Discovering Latex

As furniture and mattress manufacturing increasingly moved offshore, we chose to keep making our mattresses locally. We began experimenting with Dunlop and Talalay latex, eventually shifting our attention toward natural latex and exploring how our mattress-making experience could be applied to this remarkably durable and resilient material.

Becoming a Latex Mattress Company

Our search for better materials led us to natural Dunlop latex from Kerala, India, and eventually GOLS-certified organic latex. Latex quickly became the heart of our business. Decades of manufacturing experience helped us develop mattresses built around the natural qualities of latex rather than simply adding latex to conventional mattress designs.

Back to Factory Direct

The way people bought mattresses had changed, and we changed with it. We closed our traditional retail stores and returned to the factory-direct model we started with decades earlier. Today, our mattresses are made at our Delta, BC factory and sold directly to customers across Canada.

Today

Here we are. Still owned and operated by the same family since 1985, with more than 40 years of experience making mattresses with natural materials, modular designs and a simpler factory-direct approach. A lot has changed since our first Surrey workshop, but the basic idea hasn’t: make better mattresses here and sell them directly to the people who sleep on them.

Bring a Little of Japan Home

Inspired by traditional Japanese sleep, our Shikibutons offer a simple, low-profile approach to comfort with your choice of traditional cotton or added latex.
