What are Coir Bunkie Boards?

They act as a cushion between a mattress and a slatted bed frame (platform), filling in gaps and distributing the mattress's weight evenly. This extra support is particularly beneficial for heavier sleepers, enhancing the stability and longevity of both the mattress and the frame, especially when used with mattresses and bases designed for higher weight capacities. 

If you already have a solid foundation there's no need to buy a new one. You can simply add Coir Board over of it and make your boxspring or platform bed frame qualify for the mattress warranty. If you're not sure, contact us and we'll be happy to help! 

What are they made of?

Coconut Coir Bunkie boards are made of vulcanized mix of fibrous husk of coconut and latex rubber.It's a renewable and biodegradable resource, making coir pads a more eco-friendly option compared to some synthetic mattress supports. 

Dimensions

Coir pads, like box springs or mattress foundations, are designed to be slightly smaller than the corresponding mattress size.  Allow for a tolerance of +/- 1" in all dimensions.

Here's a size guide:

Twin: 37.5" x 73.5" (1 piece)
Twin XL: 37.5" x 78.5" (1 piece)
Double: 53" x 73.5" (2 pieces)
Queen: 59" x 78.5" (2 pieces)
King: 75" x 78.5" (2 pieces)

Please note: Larger sizes are split into two pieces for easier handling.

Due to the natural texture of coir, the edges may have a slightly rougher feel than depicted.
