Each wooden platformbed frameis made in Canada using only solid pine or oak, without the use of veneers*. Each bed, has a centre support for added strength and stability of the wood slat system. With this style of wood bed frames you do not need a box spring. Simply place your mattress on top of the wood slat foundation and your mattress will be at the height according to the model you choose.
The slats are 3 1/4” wide and 3/4” thick, spaced 3” apart and rest on a centre support that is fixed to the headboard and footboard. This system serves as a replacement for a box spring. They offer proper support, and allow your mattress to breath and stay cool. They make the best base or foundation for any type of mattress, including latex, memory foam and futon mattresses and are approved to validate the warranty of our organic latex mattresses.
Organic Dunlop Latex Mattresses must be used with a proper foundation in order to validate the warranty. If you already have a solid foundation, you can simply add a Coir Board and make your boxspring / wood platform bed frame valid for the mattress warranty.
