Will a wool pillow flatten over time?

Wool naturally settles with use. The Piatra can be expected to settle approximately 25% during its first few months, so some reduction in loft is normal rather than a defect. Daily fluffing helps redistribute the wool and maintain an even feel.

What is the difference between Medium and Firm?

Both options use the same Merino wool construction. The difference is the amount of fill, with Firm providing a fuller, more substantial level of support. The best choice depends on how much pillow height and support you prefer.

Does a wool pillow sleep hot?

Wool is naturally breathable and helps regulate both temperature and moisture. Rather than simply trapping moisture against the body, wool can absorb and release it, helping maintain a more comfortable sleeping environment.

Does a wool pillow need to be fluffed?

Yes. Wool gradually settles as it is compressed. The manufacturer recommends fluffing the pillow daily to redistribute the fill and help maintain its comfort and shape.

Can I wash my wool pillow?

The Piatra is not designed for conventional machine washing. Spot cleaning with a damp cloth is permitted. If the pillow becomes wet, use a towel to remove moisture rather than wringing it out.

How should I care for my wool pillow?

Use a pillow protector in addition to your pillowcase, fluff the pillow daily and periodically give it an opportunity to air. St Genève recommends airing the pillow in the sun at the change of season.
