GOLS, (Global Organic Latex Standard) it's the single most important certification in the non-toxic latex mattress industry, as it covers organic, purity, off-gassing, environmental and labor parameters in one certification. The two most important aspects of GOLS are that it forbids the use of synthetic latex (styrene butadiene rubber a know VOC) and it guarantees the rubber to be free of diluent fillers such as chalk.
100% Certified Organic Quilted Cotton European Style Cover
Did you know that cotton can be labelled organic even if it only contains 10% organic cotton. The remaining 90% can be polyester or other synthetic materials. We only source cotton that is made of 100% organic cotton, with no other fibres. Our European tailoring Wool Quilted 100% Organic Cotton cover facilitate seamless support between you and the underlying latex layers.This allows the rubber to mold and contour perfectly to your body shape, ensuring superior comfort.
4.5lbs of 100% Pure Virgin Joma Wool
Joma wool quilted in the organic cotton cover. It regulates body temperature and humidity, while preventing the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew. These qualities are essential in helping you fall asleep faster and also to stay asleep longer. Certified under the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 it covers pesticides, chlorinated phenols, heavy metals, formaldehyde and hundreds of other known and potentially harmful substances. It even ensures that the wool has a balanced pH level for optimal skin health.
Proprietary Multi-Layer assembly
Our modular design includes a 6" thick firm core topped with layers of 2" thick, medium and soft 5lb/ft3 density certified organic Dunlop latex.
No Harmful Chemical Fire Retardants
The combination of organic cotton and Joma wool is sufficient to pass all flammability standards set out by Health Canada since wool is the finest natural flame retardant. The Unison organic latex mattress is free of chemical off-gassing and therefor a great choice for people that are hypersensitive or suffer from MCS / Multiple Chemical Sensitivity.
The heart of the Unison is a firm 6" Organic Dunlop Latex Support Core for ultimate orthopaedic support and spine alignment. The top loose layers add comfort to complete the mattress. Our Multi-Layer assembly accentuates the natural resilience of latex, which makes it comfortable and supportive.
Easily customize your comfort & support needs by unzipping the top cover (YKK brass zipper) and simply rearranging the loose layers as you like. If necessary, with our layer exchange program you're free to explore even more layer options, ensuring the mattress suits you perfectly!
