ORGANIC DUNLOP LATEX TOPPER  ➤ Cool & Natural / Most popular
If you prefer a more resilient, cool mattress pad, then the Organic Dunlop Latex mattress topper is for you. It feels a bit firmer, more stable and less bouncy than Talalay latex and is better at motion isolation. Made of organic materials and extremely comfortable, it will revitalize your tired mattress.
Drawback: Can be too firm for pure side sleepers that are extra sensitive

NATURAL TALALAY LATEX TOPPER ➤ Extra Soft and Bouncy
If you like a mattress pad that feels bouncier and is more buoyant (like you're floating) then the natural Talalay is better for you. The firmness feels more even as you sink in and Talalay is more breathable, which helps with temperature.
Drawback: Can be too bouncy for some and less motion isolation

MEMORY FOAM TOPPER ➤ Classic Comfort
Classic NASA comfort and exceptional support for those who like to sleep hot, our memory foam is a 3lb quality topper and will revive your old tired mattress!
Drawback: Sleeps hot

DOWN AND FEATHER MATTRESS TOPPER ➤ Cloud Soft
Down and feather mattress toppers are luxurious bedding accessories designed to add an extra layer of comfort and softness to your mattress. They are filled with a combination of down (the soft, fluffy undercoating of bird feathers) and silver duck feathers.
Drawback: Has to be shaken out frequently

HR FOAM MATTRESS TOPPER ➤ Value Option
Also known as the poor man's latex. A high resiliency (HR) foam mattress topper is an affordable, premium type of polyurethane foam topper known for its exceptional durability, responsiveness, and ability to spring back to its original shape quickly after compression. Unlike traditional lower-density polyfoams or even some memory foams, HR foam resists body impressions and sagging over time, providing consistent support and comfort for many years.
Drawback: Made of synthetic materials

COMPARE MATTRESS TOPPERS

ORGANIC NATURAL DUNLOP LATEX TOPPER

  • Natural latex is highly resilient, and has a more "on the mattress" feel to it, and responds to pressure.
  • What you feel on latex stays the same over time.
  • Dunlop latex is more breathable and tends to sleep cooler than memory foam.
  • Natural Dunlop latex also comes in a wider range of firmness levels (ILD) than memory foam.
  • Natural latex in general is also a more "supportive" material (gets firmer as you compress it more deeply) than memory foam.
  • Is made of natural materials and does not off-gas

100% NATURAL TALALAY LATEX TOPPER

  • Firmness & Pressure: When you lay on Talalay latex it stays more "gently" firm. This means that Talalay is better at relieving pressure points on hips and shoulders
  • Springiness (Elasticity): Talalay is made with round, even air bubbles, making it much springier and stretchier than Dunlop.
  • Breathability (Airflow): Because of its cell structure, Talalay lets air flow through easily even when you're lying on it, helping you stay cooler.

MEMORY FOAM TOPPER

  • Memory foam on the other hand has very low resilience, has a more "in the mattress" feel to it
  • It changes its feel and response with pressure, temperature, humidity, and length of time it is subject to compression forces.
  • Memory foam is more motion restricting while latex is more resilient and doesn't restrict free movement on the mattress.
  • Is made mostly of synthetic materials and does off-gas

HR FOAM MATTRESS TOPPER

  • Exceptional Durability and Longevity. HR foam resists sagging, creating body impressions, and breaking down over time far better than standard HD polyfoam. This means your topper will maintain its support and comfort for many years, making it a worthwhile investment.
  • Balanced Support and Pressure Relief. HR foam contours to your body's curves, distributing weight evenly and relieving pressure points (like hips and shoulders). However, it doesn't "hug" you as deeply as memory foam, providing a more "on-top-of-the-bed" feel.
  • High Responsiveness/Easy Movement. Because it springs back quickly, you won't feel "stuck" when trying to change positions. This makes it ideal for combination sleepers or anyone who dislikes the slow-response feel of traditional memory foam.
  • Improved Spinal Alignment. By supporting the natural curves of your spine, HR foam can help maintain proper alignment, reducing back pain and promoting more restful sleep.
  • Sleeps cool. While all foam can retain some heat, HR foam often has a more open-cell structure than very dense memory foam, allowing for better airflow and heat dissipation.
  • Is made mostly of synthetic materials and does off-gas

DOWN AND FEATHER MATTRESS TOPPER

  • Enhanced Comfort. The primary benefit! Adds a layer of plushness, making your mattress feel softer and more inviting.
  • Pressure Relief. The softness can help distribute weight more evenly, reducing pressure points, especially for side sleepers.
  • Temperature Regulation. Down is a natural insulator, keeping you warm in the winter and surprisingly breathable in the summer.
  • Extends Mattress Life. Protects your mattress from wear and tear, spills, and stains.
  • Can Revitalize an Old Mattress. If your mattress is starting to feel worn, a topper can give it a new lease on life.
  • Luxury Feel.Down and feather have a reputation for luxury and can significantly upgrade your sleep experience.
  • Maintenance. Requires regular fluffing and occasional professional cleaning
  • Allergies. Down and feathers can trigger allergies in some people.

All mattress toppers are good at motion isolation (not feeling your partner move in bed) because one area can compress without affecting the area around it, but memory foam is a little better at this because it has no resilience. In conclusion... if your mattress is too firm and has no soft spots or dips in it, then a mattress topper is what you're looking for! As it will significantly improve the comfort of any old mattress and relieve your painful pressure points, guaranteed!

SHOULD I CHOOSE A 2 OR 3-INCH TOPPER FOR MY BED?

If your mattress is really firm (feels hard), is straight (no hammock effect), and is just not relieving your pressure points any more, then here is what we suggest:

CHOOSE A 2" TOPPER (most popular):

  1. If you weigh less than 250 lbs, a 2" topper will help relieve pressure points for all sleepers (side, back or stomach)
  2. If your mattress is generally comfortable, but is no longer giving you the soft cushiony feeling you like.
  3. If you prefer to have pressure relief while remaining on top of your mattress. (sleeps cooler)

CHOOSE A 3" TOPPER:

  1. If you weigh over 250 lbs, then a 3" topper will give you better pressure relief.
  2. If you're a side sleeper and weigh less than 250 lbs but enjoy sinking into the mattress & being wrapped and cradled by the foam. (sleeps warmer)
  3. If you really want the softest sleeping surface possible.
  4. You want a mattress makeover.

A Note on 4 inch toppers:
In our 20 year experience, we do not recommend 4 inch thick memory foam toppers, except in special cases where the person weighs over 300 lbs, or if you are going to place it on a hard foam mattress. A 4 inch topper, is too much soft foam for most applications, and may aggravate back problems, and makes rolling around in bed a chore.
